Primary Health
Care:
The Health Center Program
NEW Health is licensed by the
Massachusetts Department
of Public Health.
About Us:
At the
North End Children’s Center, our students discover their
world in many exciting ways…through art, music,
computers, games, group activities and one-on-one times
with teachers and foster grandparents.
There are weekly trips to the library, frequent visits
to a nearby adult care center and plenty of time at a
local playground. Our staff, all trained in early
childhood development, meets twice a month to discuss
ways of continually improving our care.
As one of this country’s first childcare and early
childhood education facilities, the North End Children’s
Center has been caring for children for more than 100
years.
Our staff has many years of experience. Our Director has
been here since 1985; and the center has had a
successful affiliation with the Action for Boston
Community Development Foster Grandparent Program 1989.
All of our teachers have been here quite a while, too.
In partnership with parents, we provide a warm and
caring environment in which children learn to respect
themselves and others and are encouraged to creatively
explore their social, emotional, intellectual and
physical development.
The North End Children's Center and its staff are
licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early
Education and Care. We are part of the North End
Community Health Center, an affiliate of Massachusetts
General Hospital.
Our parents and students have access to free lectures on
important child health and development topics offered
throughout the year.
There are presently openings for children 2 years 9
months to 6 years of age.
The North End Children's Center is licensed by the
Department of Early Education and Care, 1250 Hancock
Street, Quincy, MA 02169.
Please call Tim Clifford, Director, at 617-643-8007
